In this article we describe five good reasons to visit Buenos Aires. Surely there are many more, but we want to highlight only five:
1 – The architecture of Bs As:
Walking through the streets of Buenos Aires and discover through architecture some of the most important events in history and local culture is one of the favorite activities of foreign tourism.
The architect Berto Gonzalez Montaner advised to walk around looking at the heights to meet a varied and exotic world. He also recommended to visit a number of famous buildings such us the Teatro Colón, the Palacio de Aguas Corrientes, the Pilar Church, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Casa Rosada, the Legislative Palace, and other, lesser-known but interesting for lovers of architecture
2 – The green spaces of Buenos Aires city:
Buenos Aires has got lots of green space that allows travelers to relax and enjoy. There are forests of Willow and alder, artificial lakes, an Ecological Reserve and two slabs.
The most visited green area of the city is the Parque Tres de Febrero known as Bosques de Palermo. A park area designed by the French landscaper Carlos Thays, where there are sculptures, gardens and a large pond. It houses more than 15 different places, besides the famous Rose Garden, Patio Andaluz, the Garden of the Poets, the Museum of Fine Arts and the sculpture The Kiss.
3 – Buenos Aires culture
Bs As is a city full of life with many theaters, libraries, museums, cultural centers and galleries. No matter what day of the week or month of the year you visit Buenos Aires because always there are events, exhibitions and shows for everyone.
Some of the most visited cultural sites are the Recoleta Cultural Center, with 27 exhibition halls which presents concerts, theater, dance and performance art, the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (Malba), one of the most modern in the city; Hispanic Art Museum Fernández Blanco, neocolonial, and Carlos Gardel Museum, last residence of most popular artist in the history of tango.
To go to theater it is ideal visiting Corrientes Avenue, where in just 660 meters came into existence over 20 theaters at a time. Among the most important are the Teatro San Martin, one of the most modern in Latin America.
4- Bs As nightlife
The Buenos Aires nightlife has no limits of time or specific days of outputs. Milongas, theme bars, nightclubs show tourists that the streets never sleep:
In the Retiro neighborhood you can visit Irish-style pubs, with tempting happy hour. In San Telmo there is a tour not to be missed in Plaza Dorrego, Balcarce streets and Chile, where you can find live music, tango, jazz, rock and theater concert.
Recoleta concentrate the most exclusive gastronomic places. One of the booming areas is behind the cemetery, with thematic spaces and bars where you can have a drink around people.
In Palermo Soho, one of the meccas of the design and the glamor of the past few years, there are cultural activities, shops, bars and restaurants.
After midnight, the people are moved to Costanera Norte, the place of the clubs. Puerto Madero, Palermo Hollywood and Las Cañitas are also full of options.
5 – The fact it is the gateway to the country
From Buenos Aires you can access all the sites in Argentina.
• The International Airport of Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini is the largest in the country, it is located 50 minutes away from the Capital City and has three terminals with capacity for large aircraft.
• The Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, is located in the heart of downtown Buenos Aires. There, operating domestic and international flights to neighboring countries like Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay.
