Bariloche has a special charm for the leaders
Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Clinton and Obama;
Bariloche is a city located between ancient forests, snow covered mountains and crystalline lakes, in the province of Río Negro, Argentina. This is a postcard of our Patagonia. A host city par excellence, framed by some of the most important natural beauties of the country.
The city is located inside the national park Nahuel Huapi, next to the mountain range of the Andes. In 2012 was declared national capital of adventure tourism, and in 2015 the national capital of chocolate.
Come and enjoy Bariloche the four seasons of the year. You will find a nature that rewards every visitor with wonderful landscapes, from snowy peaks and copper lengas, to valleys covered with flowers and crystalline waters.
In Bariloche you have a variety of activities to enjoy: traditional excursions, lacustrine walks, snow for all tastes, the best gastronomy, young tourism, romantic outings, family activities, adventure, tranquility and a diverse cultural agenda. The city offers so many options that you will want to visit us again and again.
You arrived in Patagonia, the national park Nahuel Huapi and you are 1680 km from the city of Buenos Aires. Bariloche is one of the most intense and incredible places in Argentina. You will discover breathtaking views, lakes, streams, thawing rivers and mountains. You will enjoy the pure air, and the landscapes that are stained the color of each season. The green of the summer sun, the ocher rainbow of autumns, the explosion of colors in spring and the bright white mantle that covers the winters.
Bariloche charges you with energy and fills you with peace. I lived an adventure of sensations. I felt the sting of the reed when you fish a trout, watch the cauquenes, the bandurrias and the teros that nest on the golf courses, listen to the sound of the skis on a newly trodden track and caress the heat of the sparks of the chimney that Are squeezed in the snow between glass and glass.
Night arrives and Bariloche is known for its discos and its nocturnal tour circuit, where Spanish is mixed with a myriad of other languages. I toured the variety of themed pubs and bars while enjoying drinks and good music.
The gastronomy, with the highest quality of services, fuses the European culture with new flavors: game meats, fish, smoked meats, cheeses and fruits of the forest are the raw material for the most exquisite dishes of the region. A journey of flavors that will be kept in your memory: carpaccio of trout, strudel of lamb and the traditional curanto of Colonia Suiza. Dessert always wins the chocolate, in fondue, drunk or in branch.
With quality accommodations, the offer of international hotels, inns, cabins, hostels, campsites and mountain refuges account for more than eight decades of tourist trajectory.
When you come, Bariloche goes with you. In the photo that this time you will print and in the wallpaper that will remind you of the pleasure you felt, the aromas and flavors, the challenges and adventures, and the inner peace that will be there when you need it most. History of Bariloche
Between 1876 and 1902, Dr. Francisco P. Moreno, an Argentine expert in limits, travels extensively throughout the region. In his descriptions he emphasizes that Bariloche “… contains the most interesting meeting of natural beauties that I have observed in Patagonia …”. The expert was associated with the indigenous societies, intervened in the disputes of limits and received lands in gratitude, on the part of the government, due to its explorations in Patagonia and to the services rendered to the Nation. In a historical gesture he donated these lands in 1903 for the creation of the first national park of Argentina “in order to be preserved as a natural park … for the best benefit of present and future generations, following the example Of the United States and of other nations that possess superb natural parks. ” In addition it would promote the tourist activity, that in 1934 would obtain a strong impulse with the arrival of the railroad.
In 1981 Unesco declared World Heritage to the Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Moreno dies in poverty, in 1919, at age 67. Their remains rest on the island Sentinel, in the lake Nahuel Huapi, a little distance of the coast of Bariloche.
